If I don't decide to take the route of building my own computer, what builders do you guys think are fair with their prices and have high end features? I was looking at ABS, any opinions on them? I wasn't too thrilled with alienware- high priced and their customer reviews aren't so great- seem to be more about image.

Just wanted to get the overall idea of what's out there before I make any big decisions. Thanks a lot for any help.

Unless you build a computer yourself or have it custom built at a computer shop your not going to get anything thats amazingly high end. with manufacturers its all about the lowest cost parts and the best wording to make a computer sound good. Usually a PC worth 500 built by someone like HP is only really worth 300 for what you get.

If you can build a computer yourself i would.
and if you cant go to a local small computer shop and see how much it would cost you to get one custom built that way you get to choose all the parts yourself and you get an expert to put it together so if anything goes wrong theyr liable for it.

if your in the uk you can get your PC custom built by eclipse computers. i know a few ppl who have had custom builds from these and they havent had any trouble with them
