hi, ive been playing my backup of monster rancher 4 and in the game u progress by unlocking monsters from other cd/dvds. to do this u eject the monster rancher 4 disc and insert any dvd/cd and then re-insert the monster rancher 4 disc and get your monster HOWEVEr the modchip (inifinity) DOESNT recongise the backup disc when i re-insert monster rancher 4 and now im stuck.

any ideas, my ps2 is still running :(

A Matrix Infinity should work fine when you reinsert the disc. Are you sure you have a real Matrix chip, and not a clone? What version firmware are you using?

im pretty sure i have the real deal but i cant be 100% sure, it says infinity v1.38 when it boots a game

i think i may of figured it out, infinity's have a sleep mode feature that turns it off (the chip) after boot, so in game when i change back discs it doesnt recongize it cause its off

any ideas?

I think you have to initiate the sleep mode though. I'd seriously update the firmware. v. 1.38 is ancient.
