Hey all,

...'nother problem. I was just looking through some files on my flash drive - I had it while I was in Iraq, and saved a bunch of stuff on it. My main concern is the videos that are saved on the drive. They were recorded using digital cameras (different types of camera's), all using different software. I've no clue what software these cameras used, but I was wondering if there's a player out that that can read pretty much any video file type and play it back?

A free program, I mean.

Thanks.

Generally Video Playback is not dependant on the Video Player you are useing but on what Codecs you have Installed on your PC so if you have the Correct codecs Installed then you should be able to use Most any Media Player to Play the Files....

What are the Extentions of these Files?? Are they all Video or are some Image Formats??

If you Install "FFDShow Decoder" it can decode Most Popular Formats it just needs to be Configured to decode all Formats so maybe if you Install it you can get some of the Files to Playback...

Good Luck

They're all video files...

I'll try installing what you've recommended. I'm not sure what the file extensions are - they all wanna open up with WMP or Nero ShowTime. But when they do, it says something about either a corrupted file, or the wrong codec.

Anyway, I'll D/L that and see how it goes.

Thanks.

mplayer is free and can playback just about anything. Does require some external codecs for some proprietary stuff though. VLC also supports most stuff.
