i have sygate free edition firewall and have been using it for quite a while and a new service apeared today called ndis or something and had the words remote file shareing and the ip address next to it .i looked up my ip address and it does not match . i am running a linksys wireless router with 4 desktops connected and one wireless lapmachine i am not sure if one of my other machines is trying to connect to it or what . i recentley purchased roxio 8 and it has a p2p file shareing service bundled with it for shareing photos and such . my question is ive never had this service remote file shareing service asking for permision to connect. is somebody outside my home network trying to hack me to get at my private network shared folders . i only have the sygate firewall on this machine the other machines are running mcafee and havent seen this remote file shareing service on any of my systems till today . if this is something to worry about could someone help me address this problem. thanks to anyone who takes time out to read this and offers me there input. i also am sorry if this question is not in the right forum as i stopped looking when i found the p2p forum as this is kinda a p2p issue and a network issue to .thanks again for any info
