I'm very new at this sort of thing. I just got a dual layer DVD +/- RW Burner for Christmas so I decided that I'd try and experiment to see if I could backup one of my PS2 games.
I'm trying to back up NCAA 2006.
I browsed around the forums and saw that EA Games have a DNAS code that is lost when you make a copy of a game. I'm not sure what the code is, I just heard about it :-\. I also read that if you use the Disc ID Utility, you can read that code. But from then on, I have no clue what to do with it.
I understand that you insert your PS2 game and use DVD Decrypter with ISO Read to rip the PS2 game. Then you take out the game, insert a blank DVD (I'm currently using Maxell DVD+R...so if that's a problem, lemme know) and then turn the Decrypter to ISO write and write the MDS, not the ISO file to the DVD. Then viola, you should have your burned game.
I tried the above and it ended up not working and my PS2 told me I needed to insert a PS2 formatted disc :(
Can anyone help me with my problem? If you need more info. to help me with my problem just ask and I'll try to give you it to the best of my knowledge.
By the way, what are mod chips and this slide tool\swap magic comments about. What are they?
