can ps2 read memorex dvd+rw?

well i know how to do everything with a ps2 now but now i burned 007 from russia with love and it dont boot.
is it because i got a dvd+rw?
yes i alreayd checked for dummy files

DO NOT use DVD+R, DVD-RW or DVD+RW. Use Verbatim DataLife Plus DVD-R x8

+r discs are fine, but rw discs dont usually work (plus they are really bad for your ps2 laser).

Don't use Memorex. Use Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, or Ritek. I use Taiyo Yuden 8x DVD-R's with media code TYG02. I've burned 85 of them without a single coaster from a 100 pack.

1. Q. How do I burn PS2 games?
A. Use DVD Decrypter. Guide: http://www.angelfire.com/games6/easytutorial/dvddec/dvddec.html Burn at 4x on an 8x DVD-R.

2. Q. Does the type of media I use matter?

If you're too lazy to read, use Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, Ritek, Sony, TDK, Maxell, Sony or Phillips DVD-R's. Avoid Memorex, Staples, Imation, Dynex, Princo, Bulqpaq, etc.
