Problem with my DVD writer!!

Took out my cd writer that came with my computer and insted put the dvd writer but im having problems coping my dvds.

in my dvd Decrypter i put MODE>ISO>READ and then after it was done i put MODE>ISO>WRITE and it said

FAILED TO RESERVE TRACK
REASON: INVALID FIELD IN CDB

i need help!! did i connect my dvd writter correct?

Hi,

Did it say the same message when you used you cdr drive. First of all, when you opened your computer, did u connect two wires in, one is the ribbon cable, a flat wire with stripy lines and another shorter one to power up the dvd writer. To test out you dvd writer,, there are many ways. 1st you have to install hardware devices by going to you DOS F2 setting or what ever key you have to press, to access your setting - Go onto setting by turning on you computer and as soon as taht is done, it should say F something, choose the appropiate one for setting, and search up for dvd driver e.g mine is located under advanced, OR when you log into windows, you can test it by inserting a cd, does it boot or not? if it does, you dvd writer will be ok. If you had an error message check if you got the correct writer and correct disc like check if is a dvdr or dvdrw disc if not thats is what you need for DVD burning. If that still dont work, try another software there are millions on the internet to download from without paying. AND that is the point i can give u and i am about 93.5% sure that will work.
