can somebody please help me out . i have downloaded this movie (the island ). i just need to know how to convert these files to dvd and burn . if this has been posted i'm sorry . this is my first post on this board . thanx in advance .

most people here will not help you with that kind of attitude, they will hassle you for not using the search bar. I snooped around here 4 months by using the search bar before I ever signed up. But what we have here is some .rar files you have downlaoded, since you have never done that by what I infer, you need a unarchiver, you should have some unarchiver but if u don't go to filepedia.com SEARCH for 7-zip download it. Go to the first rar file you have d/l and then installed it go to where the .rar files are left click and go to the option that says 7-zip-->extract files here and their you it will extract and you will have the file that you downloaded it. Come back here when u have download and tell what type file you have after you have extracted.

I had the same problem as frankvega. I followed your instructions, and used 7-zip to unpack.
After unpacking ..... file, an img. file appeared. What should I do next?

it's an image file, you will need to either burn the image to a disc, or mount the image in a program like daemon tools.

If what you downloaded is something that you will only use your computer for E.G. a computer game then i would just mount the image on a virtual drive in daemon tools. Get it here: http://www.daemon-tools.cc/dtcc/download.php?mode=Download&id=81
once you have downloaded and installed the program, open it and an icon should appear in the taskbar, right-click it Got to
'Virtual CD/DVD-ROM' > 'Device 0' > 'Mount Image' then you need to navigate to the .img file. Your computer will now treat the file as if it was on a disc and inserted into your computers disc drive

If it is something that is not computer-only E.G. a DVD movie, then i suggest burning it to a disc. Imgburn can do this, Get it here http://www.afterdawn.com/software/cdr_software/cdr_tools/imgburn.cfm Once you've downloaded and installed it, open it and go to 'File' > 'Browse' the navigate to the .img file. Insert the blank DVD into the drive, and click 'Burn'. Note: obviously to burn it you need a DVD Burner and some high quality blank media to burn onto.
