Is there a way to rebuild with games that are like 4 gigabytes big, but when you browse the disc you only see a few small files?
I have the problem with Radiata Stories, any way to rebuild such games?

Yeah, I know but the problem is, when I extract with Isobuster, the 3 files are aprox. 2 megabytes big in total. CDDvdGen says: Too short location lengt, less than 5000 sectors.
I can post screenshots if you wish.

Did you get the iso from a torrent site? or from an original disc?
If from an original, put the original disc into isobuster and get a screenshot of that for us.

From the mule.
I can however take a look if I can rent it again. If I remember correctly, the original looked the same though.

Yeah, if I was you I'd get an iso from the original disc using DVD Decrypter and try again.

Nope, it has to be quite a bit bigger than that to be a ps2 dvd game.
Another thing you could do is show a screenshot of the files you downloaded.

Bah,
The files you got was a online file, a slus/sles file and a system file, you can't play any games with just those 3 files, you need the folders and that and the data
PS2 Slimline + Swap Magic + Fan
PS3 60gb Version 1.90
PSP 3.52 M33 EUR Black Version + Logitech Hard Case + Logitech 3 Sound Speakers + 2gb Sony Memory Stick
Nintendo Wii + 3 Wii&Nunchuck Controllers
NDS Original + M3 Simply + 1gb Kingston MicroSD
NDS Lite + M3 Simply + 2gb Sandisk MicroSD

I've had the same problem as you... Downloaded the same Radiata Stories, tried to rebuild it, but got only a few small files... But then I tried to burn it with DVDDecrypter without rebuilding and it worked fine until the first random battle... When you get into a battle, it tries to load and after some time triying to load it freezes...
Had the very same problem with all Square/Enix games that I tried to burn... Star Ocean and Romancing Saga... Only one that worked fine was Full Metal Alchemist... And that because it doesn't have the battle system of the others games... It must be a kind of protection Square/Enix uses... But I don't think it is impossible to solve it, since I bought a copy that worked fine...
I've seen somewhere else that using a program called Apache 2 could help, but I've searched for it on the mule, torrents and such with no luck... If anyone know where to find it, I would gadly try it...

i had the same problem. i've been asking that for ages but never got an answer or i didn't notice it. BTW FF10 original has 5 files that are together 4mb. so not every game has folders.

@Jungie - Right well, you were right about the folders(forgot about FFX), but Final Fantasy X actually has 13 files, got that from ISO buster... and the Size: 4,598,497,280 bytes...got that from DVD Decrypter....
The guys that are having problems saying that they're getting small filesizes from ISO buster..you must be doing something wrong with the program..either that or you're using iso's you downloaded and there's something wrong with them. You could try apache2 program instead, which you can get from http://www.backuptools.co.uk or the 2 websites at the bottom of my sig in the downloads section.

paddymail, Yeah i didn't know the exact amount of files in FF10 but i knew it was not alot XD.
I tried the gnie rebuilding thing with romancing saga but the result was a iso of 4mb. while the original iso 4 gig was.
everything I try to load above 2 gb. with SM 3.3 (dragon quest 8, magna carta TOB, Radiata stories, suikoden 3 and 4) and all of them boot to a black screen or it isn't valid ps2 disc. I burned every game at least 3 times and every time disappoints me.
the only game that worked was Suikoden tactic because it was pretty small (1.2 gb) but i'm almost through it and my life doesn't have a meaning anymore without rpg's ;)
Okay that was my story :P

and what speed are you writing them at?
and what case mod have you got just out of interest?

I think the sony, ritek and fuji may be ok... depends on the media code and where they were made sometimes... ditch the rest or you'll get coasters at some point for sure...
and I'd stick to 4x burning...never had a problem with that speed.

In that case, just use the ritek and maybe the fuji... with burning ps2 games and movies you definitely get what you pay for with discs.. and I don't use DVD+R in my ps2, some people have them work fine, but most people use DVD-R discs.
If in the UK or some parst of europe.. you can use this place:- http://www.blankdiscshop.co.uk/
They have some excellent media and are good on price... check out their DVD-R non printable 8x discs..especially the Taiyo yuden(if you can afford them), the verbatim and the ridisc extreme discs. They charge around £5 for next working day delivery.. so not bad if you're ordering a fair bit at once... I normally get the verbatims and ridisc extreme and don't have any problems with my movies or games with either of those discs.. and I order about 200 at a time to save on shipping.
