I hate to do this but I need to know. I have 6 machines that I will be putting together. They will all look as so:

AMD 2600+ (2.133Ghz)
MSI KT880 mobo's
512MB PC3200
WD 120GB Hard Drives
GeForcce 6600GT 128MB
DVD 16X Burners
ATX 550w Cases

Now I want to network them together to play games, and have LAN parties.
Also I want my midgets (children) to be able to get on the internet.
I will have 3 machines on my top floor, (1 in my room, 1 in my daugeters room, and one in my son's room) and 3 machines in the basement. The Router will be hooked up in my room. I went out got a Linksys Wireless G router, but then found out that I can get something faster than what I have. I heard that I can get the Wireless G with Speed Booster to increase my performance.
SOOOOOOOOOOOO.... With that said:

Should I get the Wireless G with Speed Booster?
Will that increase the performance of the games?
Do you like Linksys or feel I should go to something different?
Do you feel that ANY PCI card can work with any router, and if so, are you comfortable with that?
Last, what antenna would you recommend to go with the router to increase the range of the network?

Thanks for listening guys. I came to you, because you have never steered me wrong.

Read up on it best you can.

Most likely, it's to boost the performance of your network speeds. There are tips to making sure your network cards are using their full capacity.

They make very good products. Very compatible, user friendly, and I have had no issues with them.

Check the specs. I would usually go with similar products...i.e., Linksys wireless cards, with Linksys wireless router.

Leave the original antenna. Removing that antenna, or turning it on without one, could fry the system...as well as using a wrong size. Radio wave frequencies travel thru the air on specific wavelengths. The antenna sized used for different wave lengths are meant to be the size that they are. The higher the frequency, the smaller the wavelength...which is why car radios have long antennas, and cell phones have tiny ones!

Sorry I didn't mean to say antenna, I meant range extender.
