This may be a bit noobish, but I have been searching and reading. To make the story short, I already have an .iso on my computer, and I want to run it.

I burned it to a Verbatim DVD-R disc at 2x speed in Nero 6 Ultimate. I am using Action Replay Max to do the swap trick with a slide tool. The system just hangs at the "loading game...." screen.

This particular .iso doesn't like to run except for a brief flicker of the title screen from HDAdvance 3.0 either. (SOCOM 3)

Since I burned it slow, and on apparently good media, I'm hoping someone has an idea where I may have messed up, or what I might be able to do to make it still work. I'm pretty sure the drive is re-engaging with the slide tool ok, though the DVD is a bit noisy in the drive. I think my PS2 is the "3000" version, FWIW, also.

If someone could nail down the issue, that would be awesome.

What speed are the Verbatims.

You should burn at 4x on a 8x DVD-R.
