Hi there i have a problem on a friends lg gsa 4167b he has all of the updates for windows and nero and the latest on daemon with dvd shrink. The problem is it will fully decrypt the movie but it hangs up when its ready to write. I have in the past helped a few people out but this one has me baffled and he is using TDK Disc blanks and he has tried many other old movies and they all do the same thing.Please help with any ideals thanku very much.

@smooth6x6, First, 2 things: Update the firmware if you haven't. Latest is DL12. I know, I have 2 of the 4167Bs. I LOVE them! Perfect! 2nd. Use GOOD MEDIA! TDK is not good media. Verbatim is, Made in Japan Sony & Fujis are, Maxells are decent. But, TDK, Memorex, Khypermedia, are all crap.Imation is crap too. Download your firmware from LGs site & properly update it. Try some Verbatims or others mentioned as good media. Also, try CloneDVD 2 with AnyDVD running. Both these can be downloaded and used FREE for 21 days.

hi there, i'm not quite as keen on my 4167B as my buddy bunnyrip, still don't know if mine is faulty, it only ever works properly at 4x, but then as it's a spare burner it very rarely gets used anyway.
