I bought Pioneer dvr-103 ( DVD writer ) and have installed al software that came on CD .... as well as My DVD burning software....and now after giving a lot of money for it...I found that it's incompatibile with other DVD-R media ....I succeeded just record on Pioneer DVD-r but not on other DVD-R media such as Princo DVD-r etc .

What to do since I have no chance always to have Pioneer burning media DVD-Rs ????

Have you tried memorex? ritek? Pioneer was one of the first company to make dvd-r writers. There should be many dvd-r media out there that are compatible with Pioneer.

Sony has some probs with Princo DVD-r. At least that's what I read.
Try other DVD-r media, there's are enough other brands on the market..

not meaning to be simple, but, i found when starting out, that a trial pack was top drawer!. Mucked up a couple of burns with expensive Ricoh discs ( DVD+R), so in the end bought a trial back for under a tenner, at blankdiscshop. types i get were 4 +r and one +rw ( Ritek ( whitetop ), datawrite, traxdata, & FWS. I found every single one worked!

worth every penny before buying a bulk order. Hope this is of use. Don't need to use the site I did, I'm sure plenty of other places do this as well.

thanx guys ....really thanx....I apreciate very much all your advices.....
It will take me some time to try out all theese tips...especially to found out all theese various kind of DVD media in my domain....

Is there a patch for this peace of hardware to fix this bug or something like it..or buying specific kind of DVD media is only sollution ...
