ok so i've asked this before and no one knew what it was... I rip throught he movie fine and burn fine... then i play it in my xbox and it shows a stupid black screen forever but if i skip to the second chapter then it plays but i miss the first chapter. anyone know the problem? I use any dvd with clone dvd all upgraded to the current version....

Did you play that burnt DVD on anything else other than Xbox? sometimes Xbox can be very finicky!

ya wat gwen said, if its a file from a torent site or wat not, then any number of things could have been done to it before u downloaded it. ur better off sticking to actual hard copies of the dvd ur backing up.

tfarsrsx ,heres how you fix that in CloneDVD 2 ,use the second box "clone dvd" "not copy dvd titles" uncheck everything but the main menu and the movie. that will fix it ,they put blank cells at the beginning of the movie same as "Lords Of Dogtown" BTW AnyDVD updated tonight 5.7.1.1 so make sure yours is updated

gwendolin ,BTW anydvd just updated today to fix this problem so we should be good to go ,anydvd 5.7.2.1 now

installation, you must reboot your machine. Otherwise the changes
made in the AnyDVD device driver will not have any effect!
- New: Improved the function remove unreferenced VOBUs. This fixes
problems with some titles, e.g. "Unstoppable" R2 (German).
- New: Error zones on RipGuard/Arccos/PuppetLock protected titles are
now replaced with "valid material". 3rd party tools like DVDDecrypter
will now work better (no more "Pack Header Error" messages).
- New: Better support of elby CloneDVD2 when copying Arccos or
RipGuard protected titles without Menus:
Eliminates "hang" on standalone DVD Player and Audio "out of sync"
problems.

yeah it was from the hard copy not some torrent site. i'm testing on a memorex right now with the new AnyDVD update, hopefully it works

consider using better media than memorex its not good stuff (Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim are the top choices in here

Memorex! No wonder. @ tfarsrsx, definitely stay away from Memorex! If you want good results, use the good stuff! Like aabbccdd says, Verbatim & Taiyo Yuden Made media are the BEST & the most highly recommended here. We have all had enough experiences here to know what works & what doesn't.

no no no... i used taiyo yuden and got 3 coasters with the same errors when i used memorex , so im saivng my 50cent disks until i nail this thing... so has this problem happened to anyone else?>?

yup i got it using aabbccdd's idea by doing " CloneDVD " - include all menues/titles then deselecting everything besides the main title and pushing the preserve menus.... did you include anything else aabbccdd? i couldn't find the menue under the titles but the " preserve menu" button seemed to work find, i can even still use the screne selection button but the extras do not work, of coarse
