I just downloaded Family Guy and Got an 7GB ISO File. I would like to know how do I burn them? I never burned a 7GB ISO Before. Does it only work with dual layer DVDs? Is there a program that would let me split the ISO file? Is there any ways I can burn it to 2 DVDs? Someone please help me. If there is a program can you please provide the full name of the program. Thank you all in advance for your help and Happy New Years to you and your family.
1> Burn it do a dual layer disk using DVD Decryter or ImgBurn.
2> Use DVD Shrink to compress the file size.
3> Use a program, such as ISOBuster to extract the files and put it on more than one disc.
What I would do is extract the files using isobuster, then re-author and split it into 2 discs using TMPGEnc DVD Author.
With movies I just rip out the extras, menus, foreign audio, subtitles, etc... just so it's the movie itself with english audio. That way it's the best quality it can be for a DVD-R.
With tv shows, there aren't too many things you can rip, so I split it into 2 discs.
Thank you all for helping me out here. I just downloaded and installed ISOBuster 1.9. I would like to ask if you guys would teach me how to use it. You said split them into 2 DVDs. How can I do that? Thanks again
The Add DVD-Video Wizard will pop up. You have all of the contents of the disc displayed. What I prefer to do is have 1 episode per track. So what you would do is add a new track for each episode you add. Keep adding new episodes until you reach the limit for a DVD5. You can customize the menus however you want.
Once you compile your DVD5, click on output. You'll have to create a new folder to store this new DVD5. Name it TMPGEnc VIDEO_TS or something simlilar so it's easy to remember. Click begin output and this will create a new VIDEO_TS folder.
Once that is done, burn the VIDEO_TS folder to DVD-R. TMPGEnc has the ability to do this (as well as numerous others). In TMPGEnc just click on the button that says write dvd folder. Select and burn the VIDEO_TS folder you've just made.
Now go back to TMPGEnc and create a new dvd using the episodes that you haven't used yet on the other disc.
