Hey guys

Im in a mod team, do abit of 3d modeling and a tad bit of programming in C++, but if there is one area in computers that has me more confused than a stoner at an Opera, its internet, ports etc.

Now im trying to use Azureus, to download a cpuple of movies i cant find anywhere, but its going real slow. i know just a tad, by experementing i managed to find the tool that lets you change your port. I followed some guys tip and changed it to 54000, and i seem to remember along time ago this worked, but meh it dosnt now lol. it keeps telling me i have a NAT error. and my downloads are constantly stuck on the yellow/blue (blue mostly) faces.

This is where it complicates for me. i have 2 computers, well ym family does. I am on my own one in my room, which is connected directly (from ethernet port to ethernet port) to the computer in my study. That computer is the one that has the internet connection. and the computers share it.

I have zone alarm on my computer, which is turned off as im trying to get this damn thing going, and my parents pc has Macaffe security suite or someting. i have disabled it but its still telling me that there is a NAT error.

i really dont know what to do and im for any advice! lol

i was hoping i would have this movie by tonight as im travelling to my grans in London tomorrow so really, if you know anything dont feel afraid to post it! lol.

Yeah, so what do i do? do i need to open ports? if so how? really i dont know, i had a look on the MAcaffe site and its full of order help, but no damn technical help, the sly bas7ards.

pelase pelase help asap, i know you have lives to live and are probly busy but im in dire need! lol

If u have disabled ur firewall(s) and still get NAT errors, 99% of the time its ur router. I dont use a router but theres loads of port forward help in these threads:

I dont suggest turning ur firewall off completely, all u need to do is allow ur ports ur using through. This is how to open ports through windows xp firewall:

http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/9/263334

...and look for my name in the thread. As for ur parents Mcafee, I dont think it should matter unless ur using a Bt client on that pc as well.

No sig for u!.

ive tried doing that but when i check the inbound report thing it still keeps reporting that whatever ip in port 54000 sent an invalid file, and surely if its reporting them its getting pissed by them?

Are u getting this message from Mcafee?. I only use Norton and winxp, so my knowledge is quite slim on Mcafee settings. Hopefully someone w/ more info about it will join this thread.
