i was at a relatives house i installed spy sweeper and mcaffee for them and as soon as that happened the laptop froze.and at start up it said spy sweeper has installation error and after i click okay or anything else computer freezes.i ran a hdd test or sumtin i dont know wat that will do plz help

this doesn't have much to do with audio...next time post in appropriate forum.

start the computer in safe mode (hit F8 when windows is loading.) The go to control panel and uninstall spy sweeper.

Instead, install AdAware. It is hands down the best adware/spyware/malware remover there is, period. Spybot S&D Is good as well. Both are free. For viruses, I don't recommend McAfee either. That and Norton are both crap. Use AVG. Not only is it free, it is much much better than Norton or McAfee.

thanks for tip umm yea i had ad aware and didnt work really well so i installed xoftspy which is amazing and the best anti virus is kaspersky personal pro 5.0 without a doubt!
