why wont any program burn these files to a dvd+r

im trying to shrink a dvd but when i select the files so they can compress they are as follows (a4e)s-cry-ed_01(divx.5.05).ogm when i try to open the files in question it says encountered and error and cannot continue, failed to open file xxxxxx the system cannot find the file specified. ive even tryed opening them in other dvd copying programs and they all have problems opening or makeing the files work so i can brun them on a disk. I DL these files and they are on my HD and i dont have a source disk for them. wondering if thats my problem but i dont know hopeing someone knows what im talking about. sorry couldnt find anything that would help me in the guides yes im a dumb noob

Those are bit torrent files aren't they? They are not DVD files so DVD Shrink cannot recognize them. They need to be converted into DVD compliant files. Post your question in this forum:

I guess these are DivX which can't be burned directly to a DVD. They have to be converted first.

I have the old free version of VSO DivX to DVD you may want to try:

I have it in a zipped file so if you have a problem let me know and I'll make a unzipped version to dl.

The registered version is faster and is what I use when I download a movie, which is almost never.

I don't know if this will work but it won't hurt to try.

Thanks frasfrank i did what you sujested but now when I try to convert the files it says ( at least one file cant be converted check log for more details) i check log and its says at the end of the file name that (the file is unsupported or not a A/V file). sorry again this is starting to bumb me out lol. thanks if you can help

You should do what laddyboy suggests and go over to http://forums.afterdawn.com/forum_view.cfm/40
All I can tell you is to leave that particular file out, which is probably not correct.
