Ran up against same problem myself - 6F4 had value of 08 - not 01 as indicated, and the others I checked are already 00. The kids got into my games the other day, and MGS2 had a scratch too deep for the Brasso to polish out - was hoping to get a copy up and running to play it again. Anyone able to share a solution here?

Hello all
I made the 3rd disc just like mikepl12 said, and it works!.... but it has a problem (well actually two), the game freezes in a black screen twice, both times after talking with "skull face" campbell (as DRAKO put it :D). The solution is quite simple, just press X and you skip to the next part, this happens cause there are missing scenes that should be in one of the dummy files. I know this cause I have played the original MGS2 Sons of liberty, and by the way if the original MGS2 fit into one 4.7 gb dvd, then it should be posible to make a disc one with the complete main story of Substance...

Oh and also, here is a link where you can find the PAL files ver remove DVD9 checks:

Thanks to gnie for that.

Ok - so for PAL Sles: (using ppf-omatic3.0) I would apply the sles ppf to the extracted file, rather than to an iso, as the GUI suggests, and the ioprp ppf to the two ioprp files in different directories as indicated in the guide? Then continue with the NTSC guide steps?? Is this correct?

From what I have read on other threads, isobuster won't extract the files on the 2nd Layer of the DVD-9 image.
