Hello,
I have solved most NAT errors issues in the past but this time I am stuck...

I have ADSL (4 megs) with a modem in a house where we are 5 people connected with a switch.

If I use directly the modem everything is ok (green smileys) but it is another guy that is using the modem and through him I get yellow smileys. His PC is in chinese then I dont get many opportunities to know what it is saying...

In case you wonder the resaon he has the modem is that he thinks that when internet is slow he needs to come in my room & restart the PC (which I would like to avoid).

Then, we both have Wyndows XP patch 2 with TCP/UDP ports open for 6881 (we also tried some others). He has no other firewall and there is no router to configure.

All this started when one of the guys from here had the "good" idea to change his settings, the things that changed are:
-He installed Norton anti-virus (which is now unistalled)
-He reinstalled the ADSL connection (Zoom PPP DSL). Although this should not be an issue (works for me if I connect directly with the modem)
-He changed the DNS address (numbers that are below the IP). I have no idea if this can affect the connection...

Therefore:
-Internet works fine
-No router to configure
-No extra firewall
-Windows XP Pack 2 with same settings for noth of us (works for me with green smileys)
-It bloody worked before they changed all this, and, as his windows is chinese, I am F* (sorry for that).

Any of you have found a similar problem?
I want green smileys back :'(

Also, do you know if the NAT issue is also applicable to other BT tools? Do other BT tolls work as well without all this NAT stuff?

Thank you all!!!

Sad Yeallow Smiley

We tryed the original DNS number and nothing. We also tryed disabling both Win XP firewalls.

Also I have disabled UPnP on Azureus and open the port in both Win XP firewals once they were on...

Taking into account there is no router (only a switch), were else should I be opening ports ??????????? Or what else could cause a NAT problem?

HELP PLEASE!!!!!
