What's the best way to remove DVD labels

Like a fool, I used labels on all of my DVD's. After many experiments have determined the labels are causing glithces and stopping that won't start up again. Please chime in if you have a fast solution to the problem of getting these labels off my discs once and for all.

Soak in warm water and mild detergent; just enough water to saturate the label (use a plate or a baking pan for multiple discs). Actually, the cheaper the quality of the label, the easier it will be to remove.
