are u getting these torrents from a private tracker or a public one?. b/c all private trackers have banned bitcomet (for now).
No sig for u!.

Tam,
Perhaps your cable modem has a built in firewall? If you followed my guide thoroughly then forwarding the ports on your router should not be your problem. If you can, GET into a private tracker. With public trackers i used to only get like 180 KB/s now on TL i get 700-1000 KB/s regularly for well seeded torrents.
Good luck!

Tam,
Yup, TL is Torrentleech ;)
As for downloading that file, 102 KB/s seems very good or at least above average for your connection. I downloaded in the high 200s and 300s KB/s but i have a 9mbit connection so you were even doing better than me ;)
So as you can see, it really has to do with the amount of seeds to peers and less with port forwarding, and connections (which are important, dont get me wrong). If you ever get on TL, try a new torrent, one with a huge seed to peer ratio, youll be amazed at the speeds :)

Hey guys.. New to this forum...
Before i get to my question, I want to thank everyone for all the helpful tips.. .. Thank you ;)
I've done all I could to speed up my BitComet downloads. I've been researching all over and I found a lot of helpful tips on this forum, but to no avail.
With BitComet my average download speed is 5kbps .. The result of my speed check shows that my current download speed is 4.68 Mbps and that my current upload speed is 693 kbps.
I've been trying for weeks... Researching, modifying, tweaking and what ever else I could do, but still nothing. I understand that with peer2peer downloads you can never be sure, but the consistency of the slow rates make me think something?s wrong. Average @ 5kbps with highs of 11kbps (rare).
I'm stumped.. Any advice?
Note: I don't use routers or firewalls ..

Does anyone have any suggestions of how I can get into torrent leech. The only other trcker I go to is Xbox-Sky where my ratio is really good, so I do seed stuff. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would be very greatful. Thanks.
