I just received my swap magic discs yesterday and tried some games i burned on an EMTEC dvd+r dvd. But it gave a not valid ps2 disc. So im assuming the problem lies with the dvds. Anyways, i checked one of the sticky's which contains the most top rated dvds which are reliable for burning ps2 backups. So im going to buy the MAXELL dvd-r dvd. But what i was wondering is if my dvd burner will support dvd-r. Cause in that same stickie my burner brand (NEC) was listed under that supported dvd+r. So basicly im all confused over here. Can someone please clear this situation for me, Thanks.

If you burner is NEC DVD+-RW ND-6500A, that means it supports + and - so it shouldnt be a problem.

Yep, agree with above, but make sure that the maxell DVD-R discs you buy are made in japan.. they're supposed to be best.
