First of all, Battlefront 2 requires a rebuild.

2nd of all, did you change the thingy to NCTS or PAL depending on you country.

Otherwise you made a mistake burning. I gotta go watch Penn State whoop on FSU now.

What version of Swap magic are you using if you have 2.0 it may not work you will need one of the latest versions 3.0-3.6

It's not a straight rebuild for star wars BF2 - search for it and you'll see several threads on it..

Done it for you - this is the htread you need http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/257450

good luck with it

In that case, yes it is strange.. because everyone else has experienced skipping audio with it when backing up 1:1.. that's why it needed a rebuild and to change a file.

I had an issue with this game as well (Star Wars Battlefront 2). I rebuilt it, patched the IOP files, etc. The game would constantly stutter in the beginning, and it was impossible to press the start button.
Recently, I had an issue with Dance Karaoke Revolution, and Ace Combat 4. I thought for darn sure that the DKR game would work, considering it has a very small image size. But, it refused to get passed the animated "now loading" portion.
So, I said, what the heck, let me slip in an expensive dvd. I have an HP 640c Lightscribe dvd burner. I had a few HP +R lightscribe dvds handy, so I used one.
Now, Ace Combat 4, Star Wars Battlefront 2, and Karaoke Revolution Party all work flawlessly. Ace Combat 4 wouldn't even load on the cheap Office Max brand dvd. Now, it boots up like the original. SWB 2 has no audio stutters whatsoever. Karaoke Revolution launches to the main menu superbly. I simply copied my copies (which still maintains the previous patch work on the IOP files).
In conclusion, media does matter. I went out and bought a 50 pack bundle of HP +R dvds, and they have proven the fact that the better media one uses, the better the results, when it comes to PS2 game duplications. BTW, I have the slim-line PS2 system. I use Swap Magic 3.6. I create my images with DVD Decrypter, and burn the images back with CloneDVD2. I know one can use DVD Decrypter to do the same, but for some reason, I get better results with CloneDVD2.

Food for thought,

I managed to back it up, just rebuilt it and burned it, i also managed to back up my NFS U2, someone should make a program that rebuilds a iso itself for you.

There is one called "gnies expert tool" .. it'll rebuild an iso to make it smaller, but might not work for all games that need rebuilding.

try this program:-http://www.alucard.cc/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=getit&lid=2345

Here's how to use it.. it might not work for all games though.

Open the program.

1. Select the Shrinker_ps2_psp_CdDvd5_iso.epi on the plugins drop down list.
2. Select the iso you want to rebuild.
3. Click extract LBA.
4. Click extract file and wait for it to finish.
5. Click rebuild file and wait for it to finish.
6. Click rebuild LBA.
7. Burn the new iso with Nero or DVD Decrypter as usual.

good luck
