Games wont play off the HD

I had a Matrix Infinty installed a short while ago and i also just bought a Sony network adapter. I put in a Maxtor 200gb HD, put in the HD Advance via the memory card and I have tried to put on some games onto the HD. The games dont work. I have tried Socom 3, Tony Hawk AM underground, Grand Theft Auto, and no luck.
Any suggestions on what I might be missing?

unfortunately that list is not current and allot of the games on there work with different software usage to boot. HD Advance 3.0 boots a few games HD loader patched wouldn't for me and the Toxic 0.4 OS seams to be working on a few of the 'non working' games as well.

I checked the link, and it provided a nice list. The list also gave a possible solution, such as for Tiger Woods Golf 06 it said to enable mode 3. What does that mean, and is there an advantage to using HD Loader vs HD Advance?
And has anyone heard of a program called MCmanager for being able to save the game onto the HD instead of the memory card?

mode 3 means when you have the game highlighted in the menu you press select and then on "Kill HD After Launch" you change this from No to Yes. again that list is very outdated. HD Advance and HD Loader are both the same program with different skins and in their latest versions boot most games from the harddrive.
as for MCManager, it's an .elf that you can use to transfer files between the HDD and the MC you can't save directly to the HDD.

But MCmanager can take a "saved game" from the MC to the HD? It would be nice to not have to use up my MC.
I will look for the :likk HD after launch" option and give that a try.

yes thought i said that it is able to transfer files between the MC and the HDD, it just doesnt have the ability to direct a game save directly from the game to the HDD.

Just tried Socom 3, I was able to kill HD after launch, the game started to boot, then stopped.

some games are incompatible with the harddrive, I'm not sure if SOCOM 3 is one of them or not, you can try different mode settings, turn on mode one and three, one only, two only, two and three, etc............
modes are numbered as to their location down the mode list, kill HD after launch is 3rd down so it's mode 3 for example.

Has anyone got SOCOM 3 to work with HD Advance 3.0? I keep getting the start up screen with the check memory card and then the SOCOM logo and then just blck screen. Any help would be great.

i agree there not alot of diff between loader and advance
i use loader on mem card expolit and it works real well + you dont have to mess up your hda disks
ive installed over 100 game (not at the same time) and the only game that havent loaded is racket gladiator, even got action replay loading but cheats still not working bloody thing
so what im saying is there isnt many games that wont load as most do
