Don't know what to do anymore... My ports are forwarded, I have no firewall enabled, and there should be NO reason my download speeds and status light are what they are. This does not happen all the time... Sometimes I get lucky after re-port forwarding and the status light turns green, I connect to remote peers, and my speeds zoom. What I must do to get it this way is to fight with the router by changing and reseting ports back and forth until it actually opens them, that's right, for some reason my ports are still closed when I forward them, I have no Idea why and would apprieciate if someone could help me out with this problem. I have tried for years to get my bittorrent connection working normally but just can't seem to do it, everything I have read on the web does not help me... Maybe my windows XP firewall isn't really closed?

Perhaps your cable modem also has a built in firewall?
