ive recently seen how to burn ps2 games from this site by using dvd descryptor. ive followed step by step guide and it seem to have suceeded burning it. but when i inserted it into my ps2 it says please insert ps2 fomat disk or something like that.
ive used tdk dvd - r and burnt at a speed of 2x
what am i doing wrong please help

Are you using Swap magic or any kind of mod thats lets your ps2 run backups?

What kind of game is it? Was it a successfully burned by DVD Decrypter? If you have a modchip and it's a successful burned, then there shouldn't be any issues booting or playing at all.



@newbies or whom may concern,

<> use high quality media such as Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim "advanced azo/datalife plus" or MAXELL (mij by Hitachi).
<> updated your firmware regularly for media compatibility and burning performances.
<> burn at 4X (don't burn at 1X or 12X).
<> if DVD+R is your choice, then "book type" them, if your burner can't do the job, then use reputable DVD-R media.

YES YES YES IT WORKED FINALY AFTER 6 DVDS IT WORKED I BURNED IT AT 2X AND WENT OUT THIS MORNING AND GOT SOME VERBATIM DVD-R BURNT THE MDS FILE PUT IT INTO PS2 STARTED UP AND BAM SAD THING IS THAT I ALREADY HAD THE ORIGIONAL OF THAT GAME I WAS JUST TRYING TO SEE IF IT WAS POSSIBLE TO BURN IT YAY I AM GOING NOW TO RENT A GAME AND BURN IT!!!

Yes there are a number of fake TDK's out there. They also use CMC Mag as one of their manufacturer's. Check the media ID on those TDK discs. To check the media ID, open DVD Decrypter, put in your disc, and see what it says under Media ID or Manufacturer ID. Check it against this link: http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm

Yeah I thought it might be. Try copying the game onto some quality media like Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim. That should solve the problem.
