I have Tuffdisc 8x DVD+R and plays FLAWLESSLY, well most of the time, but sometimes, the game works for 2-3 weeks, than it suddenly breaks down on me. The producer of Tuffdisc is Ritek. Also, even though I hae good disc, If I dont play them for about 2 months - 5 months and sudenly I have a crave to play it again, It just always bugs and glitches, I dont know if it's the dust or something, but I just need to know what the GOOD Disc for PS2 Games that don't get all busted after 5 months or Disc that when you bur nthe ps2 game on it, It will work FLAWLESSLY and not die in 2 weeks. I know that Taiyo Yuden Disc is good but I want others JUST IN CASE i can't find any Taiyo Yuden Disc. Also, if you have a cheap site that sells those good disc, please tell me. I live in England so give me a link to a uk website.

I've been burning DVD movies and PS2 games for a long times, and I've come to conclusion that Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim "advanced azo/datalife plus" and Maxell (mij by Hitachi) are the top 3 media (high quality) regardless if it's for DVD movies or PS2 games. All of my backups plays flawlessly.

Ritek discs have been known for degrading over time. there have more complaints for those discs more recently. just follow the suggestion above and your discs will last for years to come as long as you keep them scratch free

Yes.... that is why it's called High Quality media. Honestly, I've never experienced any issues playing any of my old backups (DVD movies or PS2 games), even going back like 1 - 2 yr old, if you stored in a good/safe place, it should be fine.

@3dluis - http://www.blankdiscshop.co.uk/

very good site, they sell taiyo yudens (but not cheap) and they also do a 24 pack of verbatim 8x dvd-r that are made by taiyo yuden at around £6

[edit] Just want to add that the ritek discs I use are still just as good as when I burned them 10 months ago, so maybe it's just tuffdisc brand of ritek dye.

I've been using TDKs 8X DVD+Rs. DVD identifier says they're Taiyo Yudens, YUDEN000T02. No coasters and they play perfectly. They were cheap also Best Buy $19 for 100 stack. Shoulda bought 2 or more.Haven't even seen TDKs there since at any price.
