Did u extract the Rar files? and dude i noticed in your signature that you use various dvd-r's i suggest you find 1 that works and stick to it , changing different media will gradually break your laser. Also can i ask what size the game is?

Possibly both (including the media and the ISO you've downloaded). Hmmmm... Nexxtech, that's a bad choice of media.

Again, my top 3 choices of high quality media are: genuine Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim "advanced azo/datalife plus" and Maxell (mij by Hitachi).

Tai-yo Yu-den ROCK!!

let's have LAST section of your Nero log which lives in c:\program files\ahead\nero\nerohistory.log but DO NOT post your serial number which usually begins with '1A21' or similar.

You can differentiate sections via this section divider "====== *** Nero-Burning Rom, History File *** ======"

Creaky will most likely point out a lot more stuff, but for starters the firmware needs updating on your NEC writer drives, and you should use a lot better media than cmc mag discs.

@PsychBeat

Here's what I see and you need to make changes to these below.
Quote:
Nero Version: 6.6.0.16
Internal Version: 6, 6, 0, 16b
Your Nero is a bit old, try to update to the latest 6.6.0.18 of Nero 6 Ultra. I recommend you to get Nero's General Clean Tool and run it to completely wipe out Nero from your system. Restart your computer, then run Nero's Clean Tool again to clean out any left over. Now restart your computer and install the latest Nero 6.6.0.18 (package #1 and #2 only) back on your computer, and again, restart your computer.
Quote:
Recorder: <_NEC DVD_RW ND-1300A> Version: 1.0A
Your firmware is a bit old, you need to update to the most current firmware, which is 1.0C, go here http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=1517 and download it to update your NEC's firmware.
Quote:
CdRomPeripheral : Generic DVD-ROM 1.0 d347prt Port 2 ID 0 DMA: Off

CdRomPeripheral : Generic DVD-ROM 1.0 d347prt Port 2 ID 3 DMA: Off
CdRomPeripheral : AXV CD/DVD-ROM 2.2a a347scsi Port 3 ID 0 DMA: Off
Some of your DVD-ROM's drivers DMA are Off, you need to enable/turn them back on by "uninstalling" their drivers. Go here http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/260038 for more info/instructions on how to enable/turn DMA back On.
Quote:
Physical memory : 447MB (458096kB)
Free physical memory: 96MB (98968kB)
Memory in use : 78
With only 96MB of memory left, your kinda in a tough situation here. I usually recommend members/newbies in the Nero Forum to upgrade/add at least another 512MB to boost up your system when burning. Or you can try to free up/release more memory by "shutdown/disable" any unnecessary running programs/applications in prior to burning.
Quote:
Media type: DVD-R
Disc Manufacturer: CMC MA - G. AM3
Disc Application Code: 64
Hmmmm... this may be the real culprit. No offense here, and I honestly mean it, but I despise Memorex (specially CMC MAG) -- it has been known to be one of the media that carried the cheapest dye. In addition, it's inferior when comparing to today's media technologies. I recommend you to get other high quality media like authentic Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim "advanced azo/datalife plus" or MAXELL (mij by Hitachi), these are top notch media.

Again, your burner doesn't like the media you're using. It's having a hard time reading/requesting the media. Try to update your burner's firmware and try better media as I've stated above.

See previous reply, it's the same thing. This is a media issue, see above/previous reply for high quality media. Again, try to update your firmware first, then get better quality media and try to burn it at 4X. Yes.... 4X is the best and most recommended speeds for burning regardless if it's DVD movies or PS2 games.

Good luck!!!

here's a copy/paste i did earlier, which is from a link in my sig -

partial quote from my fave Memorex link -
Quote:
the trouble with people like Memorex is they use widely varying quality in disc manufacturers, the most appalling being CMC Magnetics (hence the media code 'CMC Mag'). Memorex aren't the only ones who do this, others are HP, TDK, Imation etc.

snippet from a good list here - http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/155431 (media codes in brackets) -

Memorex DVD+R 16X (CMCMAG M01)
Memorex DVD+R 4x (CMC MAG.F01)
Memorex DVD+R 4x (MBIPG101-R03-000)
Memorex DVD+R 4x (RICOHJPNR01)
Memorex DVD+R 4x Printable (MCC-003-000)
Memorex DVD+R 8X (CMC MAG E01)
Memorex DVD+R 8X (PHILIPSC08)
Memorex DVD+R 8X (PRODISCR03)
Memorex DVD+RW 2.4x (CMC MAG.W01)
Memorex DVD+RW 2.4x (INFODISCA01)
Memorex DVD+RW 2.4x (RICOHJPNW01)
Memorex DVD+RW 4x (CMC MAG.W02)
Memorex DVD+RW 4x (MKM-A02)
Memorex DVD+RW 4x (RICOHJPNW11)
Memorex DVD-R 2x (CMC MAG.....)
Memorex DVD-R 2x (TAIYOYUDEN..)
Memorex DVD-R 4x (CMC MAG. AF1)
Memorex DVD-R 4x (MBI 01RG20)
Memorex DVD-R 4x (MCC 01RG20)
Memorex DVD-R 4x (ProdiscS03)
Memorex DVD-R 8X (CMC MAG AE1)
Memorex DVD-RW 1x (ProdiscDVDRW)
Memorex DVD-RW 2x (RITEKW01) MINI DVD-RW 1.36GB
Memorex DVD-RW 2x (RITEKW01....)
Memorex DVD-RW 2x (TDK502sakuM3)
MemorexDVD-RAM 2x (Optodisc)

So....for instance, in that list there are 3 varieties of +R 8x (none of which i'd say are any good really)

Memorex DVD+R 8X (CMC MAG E01)
Memorex DVD+R 8X (PHILIPSC08)
Memorex DVD+R 8X (PRODISCR03)

and here...all i'd say where any good are the MCC coded ones -

Memorex DVD-R 4x (CMC MAG. AF1)
Memorex DVD-R 4x (MBI 01RG20)
Memorex DVD-R 4x (MCC 01RG20)
Memorex DVD-R 4x (ProdiscS03)

The trouble is, you wouldn't know which ones you're gonna get, just buy picking up a pack of Memorex. And that's part of the reason why so many people have problems with them, they see the name Memorex, associate it with quality cassettes (for instance) in the dim distant past etc etc, and it's the luck of the draw as to what disc manufacturer actually made them. Hence why i won't buy Memorex, HP, TDK, Imation etc etc etc. There are ways with some companies discs, to work out which ones you're gonna get, ie what sort of tubs they're in, are they -R, what speed are particular discs etc etc but most people on the street just haven't got that knowledge and just don't care about all that. I have feet in both camps, i need to have knowledge of media, but i just want media to work, and work consistently and for good :)
