hey all, thanks for the gt4 back up advise. Again all of the threads i have read are scattered and i cant figure out how to use torrents properly. Can anyone name some reliable and free sites?

And i have downloaded compressed .torrent files and cant get them to run on anything. ANyone got any ideas?

a free private torrent site can be found at www.torrentlounge.com ive currently posted a guide there explaining how to create and upload torrents. How much do you know exactly.. you do know that once youve downloaded the torrent you need a program to run it like Azureus or utorrent to then download the file dont ya

I have winrir, but it is aking for a password. Do I need a password for each file? The torrent file that I have is a movie file.

I hate it when they put a password on a .rar. Its usually the sites name or whoever u/l it, u can also sometimes get the password from the torrent site. Look at the torrent comments and the info, someone could have posted it.

I did have a small prog to crack passworded rars, but it was junk.

I got caught a couple of times when I started with Bittorrents and downloaded password protected rars, the only way I could get the password was to sign up to a p0rn site and give my Credit Card details. LOL

I didn't mind signing up for the p0rn ;) but no way was I giving CC details.

I learned my lesson, I now check the torrent to find out the format before d/loading and if it's a rar, forget it.
