When I went to start my PC today things seemed to be going OK the POST was fine and the loading page for WIN XP came up the blue bars moved across for a bit then the PC rebooted!!
What the hell is going on? It was fine when I powered down last night.I have 2 x 512 of RAM and I tried swaping their position then tried each one and got the same response. I tried a different Hard Drive and still got the same response.
At this stage I am thinking something is up with the MOBO OR CPU. As it happens at the same point I figure the PSU is OK, ( I also plugged out my DVD & DVDRW just leaving the HD same result). As I can get a display on the screen I recon the Graphics card is OK.

Problem solved, my fu(king Hard Drive has died. I checked it on my mates PC and it is dead, so all the stuff that I hadn't backed up is gone ( cue floods of tears, wailing and gnashing of teeth).
ouch. hard drive failure strikes again. you might be able to recover it using some utilities from the manufacturers website give it a try before you throw it out.
