im guessing that its probably only going to be of any benefit if your using sata drives in a raid configuration.

Ok, well one question while we're on the subject, should the "safely remove hardware" icon be in the task bar for my SATA hdd. How can I get rid of it. Sorry for newb questions but this place is awesome for info.

Yes I know that's why I can't figure out why the safely remove hardware icon is active for my SATA hdd.

I have the same MOBO as you, but I do not recall ever seeing anything pertaining to spectrum in the BIOS! I do know that the delta boards had minor differences, even with the same model No! Have you installed the drivers for it?

are you using a WD Raptor because they are hot swappable most other sata drives are just regular ATA bridged drives

this may be your problem, its because you have an ide and sata in your computer. If windows is on the ide i think your sata becomes removable. Just windows being dumb
