Ok, so, ages ago I used Spybot's Search & Destroy to help protect against and eliminate spyware. Apparently (I only vaguely even remember doing so) it had an option for a firewall to prevent the download of spyware, adware, etc from pages. When an offending page begins to load, a pop up appears saying "Spybot has blocked the download of __whatever_". The problem with this is that it halts the download of the entire page, so many things load up as blank pages. More over, some of the pages it blocks are things I need the ability to access (such as CNN.com). I tried simply disabling the feature and had no luck. Then I uninstalled Spybot entirely and still the problem persisted. I've since tried Your Uninstaller and Registry Mechanic. Neither find any trace of Spybot. Help! This is becoming a real annoyance and intefering with my doing research for classes and work as well as just being a regular pain. Anyone have any ideas?

well baiscaly kawaiikit that option with spybot once youve clicked is a permanent kind off thing.

and besides its only for Internet Explorer so why not just use mozzilla firefox, best browser around.

im sure thers a way to fix it but why not just try that much easeir, and btw a reformat is a bit harsh, i dont think you should concider that.

::le sighs:: I wanted to avoid switching over to Mozilla since I view the switch as pretty unnecessary. Why add an additional program to further clog up my harddrive when IE is already there and works just fine? Normally, if one person has an issue, other people do too. Has no one else experienced this Spyboy problem out there?

Yes. Again, I first disabled the feature inside the program, then (when that didn't help) uninstalled the entire program. I've also run things like Registry Mechanic and Your Uninstaller to try and locate any remnants of Spyboy, but found nothing.

yes as soon as you apply that seting in internet explorer its permanent but theres a way to get rid of it, ill tell you but its alot easier to go over to mozzila FireFox.

removing it means youll have to go into start>run>regedit, from here youll have to navigate through the tree and delte theese values.
please just switch to mozzila alot easier :)
