im using azureus, cable connection and a d-link router. i've tried everything i found on internet: open ports for router, turn off winxp firewall, open ports for winxp, set upload speed to 80%... but still im having problem with my dl/ul speed. there is NO uploading speed at all, and the downloading speed is around 0 - 2 kb. i got green smiley, 20+ seeds and 100+ peers connected. would anyone here give me some help?
dude u tried firewall test ? are u getting NAT error? . Have You turned off your modem for 10 seconds? this should allow the new seetings to take place
tam thx for ur reply. i don't think im getting NAT error cuz i have green smiley. tried firewall test and no problem, and turned off modem for the new setting. i've tried to turned off winxp firewall and tried the settings once more but the dl/ul doesn't improve. still no ul speed. oh and im using a TorrentLeech tracker.
i noticed that whenever a new peer is connected the dl speed promp up a little, but then slowly it goes down to 1kb/s or, most of the case, 0kb/s. i rarely use bittorrent so i dunno if the above situation means anything.
thx cbrooks, im now trying utorrent and see if it works better.
im still having trouble getting ul even with leechers>seeds. i think one of these things messed up: router (changed from linksys to dlink recently), ports forwarding, bittorrent client (changed from BitComet to Azureus).
