How to get my mp3 songs to play on my Car Cd Player?

How do i convert my mp3 to a format that will play in my car cd player? It handles cd-r/rw fine,but mp3 is a no go??

if your deck doesn't support mp3 playback, you need to convert to .wav. windows media player does it, go to the burn tab and it should do all the work for you, just drag and drop your mp3s. Nero also converts and burns in one step. i don't know about the quality you'll get, it mostly depends on the quality of the original mp3s, but it's easy and will work

I use Nero and make audio CD that plays in all CD players and just add the audio files you want to burn.

Just make an Audio cd with Nero and it will automatically convert the MP3 files to PCM audio which most cd players can read.

The previous threads have cover your question about how to convert your mp3's to cda format if your car audio doesn't support mp3 discs.
About the quality you have always to keep in mind that the quality will be always inferior. Compressing is an irrevisible act. The rule states that better quality needs more space. But if you don't ownn the originsl tracks then this is the only case to reproduce your favorite tunes in your car.

ok you said ur car radio handles cd-r/rw cds but here is the important question that no one asked does it support mp3 and wma files if it doesnt then u have to buy one that does then u will able to play mp3 cds

As my first post says,it doesn't support mp3 and I don't see anywhere in the manual about supporting wma. Think that I'll just buy another deck.I assumed that a $400.00 radio would have supported these formats back when I bought it,but I was wrong.Oh well,Live and Learn!

I have the same situation where my car cd player does not read mp3 files. I used Nero without luck. It created cda files, and those too my car cd player could not read, what are my options?

All car cd players will read .cda files. Are you sure that you are selecting Audio CD in Nero or are you selecting MP3
One other thing, most CD players don't like CD R/W, I would suggest that you only use CD-R.

I just bought a JVC player, that plays DVD's of MP3's. I can fit 999 songs on one disc and they sound great.
I bought it at Best Buy just before the Holidays for $300. It has no monitor, it's in dash and I don't plan on watching movies when I drive.
I have 4 portable seven inch DVD players and 4 Noise cancel headphones ($50 at best Buy) for my brood as we make the trek back and forth to Boston, and then again back and forth to Florida.
If you want a good purchase of a versatile player, this JVC head unit is available at BB or CC (circuit city) for the same price. It plays CD-R's, CD-RW's, DVD-R's and DVD+R's it may even play DVD-RW's but I never use them so Duh.
The thing I like about the DVD player, is I can fit pretty much all my favorite songs on a DL DVD and never have to swithc discs. I have them in folders by genre, or "mood sets" when I turn off the car and turn back on the car, it picks up with the last song that I played, instead of starting the disc over from the begining--just like a normal CD player.

@wrf01a, thanks but my problem was that my cd player only reads cd-r disks and not cd-rw which I was using initially. So all is good now that I burn them on cd-r disks.
