can soemone help i have followed every ppossible way to back up ps2 games i am using artia dvd-r discs also using swap magic ver 3.6 but when asked to load program the message of not a compatible ps2 disc appears any help i am using swap magic with a flip top on the slim line ps2

Which game is you're trying to backup? is it from an original disc or from a download?
What's the manufacturer's ID from the media?

Use this program to identify it http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_tools/dvd_id...

Just pop in a blank dvd

Start the program.

Select the drive your blank media is in:

Select the media type your blank is, dvd-r or dvd+r:

Hit the identify button(must be connected to the internet for this)

When it's done it should have something like this:

When that's done, hit the clipboard button:

Then paste it into your reply so that I can see what media it is.

Should look something like this when you've hit the paste button (from the right side mouse button menu)

I still need that media code that I took the trouble to explain how to get for you? and which game it is?

Is this your first attempt at a backup? and what program are you using to try and backup your discs?

If you're compltetely new at this and don't really know what you're doing.. I direct you to these threads.. they have alot of useful info for newbs about what media to use, programs and how to use them etc..
