I've been using shrink on many dvd's but recently installed a double layer burner, (pioneer dvr-110D.) The burner works fantastic until I try a double layer dvd, (Verbatim+r dl). After the read process is complete, shrink askes for the proper media. It says, media decteted CD-R. Is there a software conflict of does shrink just not recognize double layer. Using most recent shrink. Been searching for answers, have a few ideas.

If you are trying to backup a disk to DL media, it's best to just use DVD Decrypter the whole way.

Under the Mode menu select ISO -> Read and rip to your hard drive.
Under the Mode menu select ISO -> Write, select the MDS file that accompanies the ripped ISO file, and burn.

Make sure you have up to date firmware for your burner and booktype the burned disk to DVD-ROM to maximize playability in standalone players.

Which program did you tell Shrink to burn with, DVD Decrypter or Nero? You did set the target size to DVD9 in the settings, didn't you?

That said, this question probably belongs in the Shrink forum and Creaky will likely move it there when he sees it.
