if i delete all my music from itunes can i still download more and have all my music?

I wanted to delete all my files that i have stored on my computer so that I could free up space and avoid viruses. If i do this will i still be able to download more songs and update while not deleting the songs already on my ipod? I dont want to keep 1000's on songs on my computer when they are already on my ipod. any suggestions?

If you turn of automatic update for your ipod, it won't delete your songs off it. I would backup all those songs to cd or dvd before you delete them, your ipod is not going to last forever.

Yes that will work but as sly_61019 said make sure you back up those files just in case

you could use sharepod, but anapod explorer is a much better alternative..

Like I say, Anapod is the way to go, but it all depends if you are willing to pay the small for it at the end of the day.
