It doesn't matter, genuine Taiyo Yuden is Taiyo Yuden, they're all high quality media. Meaning it should be fine with dvd movies or PS2 games backup.

as Alkohol said if the Taiyo Yuden is real, u r in good hands. as for the speed. i wud say get 8x and then burn them at half speed of 4x for ps2 bakups. i don't know at which speed u have to burn movies.
