I'm looking for any software programs (hopefully free) so I can burn let's say the main movie on one disc and the extra features on another disc while maintaining all menu functionality.
The only way I can do that right now is by using DVD Shrink but I don't maintain the menu functionality.
I've read about DVDXGOLD but I don't really want to spend $90 to get this program.
I normally used Decrypter and Shrink to burn but have noticed in a few of my movies that the quality I want isn't up to par even when deleting other unwanted audio tracks, etc.
try DVDRemake..... use DVDDecryter to rip to hard drive then use DVDRemake to take out what you want or leave in what you want.... then Shrink! You can use the DVDRemake to do almost anything you want! http://www.dimadsoft.com/dvdremake/index.php
I got the free trial for Remake but found it wasn't any use and I didn't want to spend $30 to get it.
Someone passed on a guide for Vobblanker and it's many uses and found it extremely easy to use despite it's menu setup and layout. Once you know where to look and the buttons to use I was impressed more people haven't mentioned it.
You can still use DVD Shrink to do what you want. All you do is compress the everything as still pictures except the menu and main movie for the movie dvd. Then for the "extra feature", compress everything as still picture except the "extra feature".
I don't know why you would invest anything on extra feature, but I guess you have your reasons.
@ricorocco...... many people have a little trouble learning DVD structure and how to use DVDRemake...... once you get a little knowledge on how the DVD structure works...... Remake is a great little program that offers a lot! But use what's good for you..... I found that Remake took a while for me to conquer but once I did I felt like I can do anything to a DVD that I wanted to do! Well worth the time it took to learn!

You can do that with VobBlanker, except better, it will totally eliminate it completely, plus it will get rid of ads, previews, and warnings, and most anything else you do not want. In fact, it will do almost everything that DvdRemake will do, and it is free.
I agree, ever since I found out how Vobblanker works it's been awesome (and that was only a few days ago). Very easy to use now that the buttons and cells I used to look at with a blank face now make sense.
I get the full DVD-9 movie with everything on two DVD-R discs with all menu features (no still images) and it's uses. Mind you I only use Vobblanker on certain movies that I don't want compressed like high computer graphic scenes, etc. but for comedies/etc. I still use Menushrink on 1 disc.
I forget to use MenuShrink in conjunction with VOBBlanker, I need to start using that proggy....it is very nice piece of software, one of the fastest and easiest tools around.
