I want to just rip it to divx. And the sequence of my actions was the following. At first I tried to decrypt the vob files and copy them to my hard disk. I tried doing that 3 different ways: using DVD Decrypter, VobDec GUI and SmartRipper. In each case I got the decrypted vob files on my hard disk. I suppose the problem is at this stage whic h will be clear from the subsequent actions. It should be mentioned that when I tried to play these decrypted vob files with my DVD player in file mode there was no problem neither with video nor with audio. The next thing I tried to do was converting vob files to divx avi files. For this purpose I used two different programs: MPEG2AVI and FlaskMPEG.And here comes the problem. When I tried to play the vob file to be converted with the built-in FlaskMPEG player it was just video without audio track! So both MPEG2AVI and FlaskMPEG successfully converted Vob to avi but I can't hear any audio in the resulting avi file. I also tried to extract just ac3 sound from the decrypted vob file with VOB2WAV but failed to find audio information either. So I'm afraid that the decrypted vob files are not really decrypted. Maybe they are encrypted with an algorithm which is unfamiliar to DVD Decrypter, VobDec GUI and SmartRipper or rather they fail to find the decryption key. Though they report no decryption error and just output that there were 0 encrypted files. Recently I've encountered one program that managed to rip my DVD to divx directly from the DVD drive without intermediate copying to the hard disk. That was Super DVD Ripper. But it has some drawbacks. First, it's not cracked and so I have only trial period. And secondly, it doesn't allow to choose the codec settings that it uses to make avi file so I can't control the quality of the resulting avi. So I tried to explain my problem in details :)
