Hello all just ran into a problem with my flip-top. I have had it for a while and everything has been smooth but recently during extended gameplay my system gets really loud and freezes during play. True Crime will no longer load (I will make a new backup ;ater) and it does it when I play FIFA as well. HAs anyone had this prob if so how can I fix. Thanks ALL

Flip Top has nothing to do with the "freezing" part whatsoever. It sounds like a media and burning issues to me.

No sorry alkohol use quality media, have games running fine on 5 systems this is just the one acting up

Flip Top doesn't cause/make your backup to "freeze" whatsoever period. I've had my Flip Top in almost a year and I've never experienced any freezing due to Flip Top. Again, sounds like a media and burning issues to me.

What is your term of high quality media and or what media you call it high quality? I wouldn't be surprised if those TDK turns out to be CMC MAG. Can you post the MID and scans (if possible)?

Dude it even makes the noise with the SM disk sometimes. I think its the wrong top possible. V8 instead of 7 maybe.

If it makes loud noise when it's trying to read/play the backup, then here's what you need to do:

<> power off the PS2 console
<> flip it over/up-side-down and try to loosen them screws a little bit
<> now flip/turn your PS2 console back to normal
<> take out that little "white ring hub" underneath the Flip Top cover
<> take the "white ring hub" out, use a small screw driver to loosen up a little bit,
<> put it back on and power up your PS2 console
<> now try to boot your backup again to see what's up.
