tried every type of software disc copies okay when doing back up of ps2 game i am using a dvd-r disc aritia make has anyone else had any problems with these
using alcohol 120
have tried nero dvd decrypter

help

Arita are decent.. Ritek G05. Not too great.

If games aren't working, I suggest a re-build. If they still don't work, then yes, get better media. Verbatim, Tuiyo Yuden, etc. Go for these.

do u think it may be the software then i am using magis disc it goes to load program then when i do thius it tells me not a ps2 compatible disc any help

Well.. do you have your PS2 modded? Sounds like it aint chipped or you dont use Swap Magic or anything? Do you have any type of PS2 modification to play backups?

Ritek g05's are good media... it depends more on your burner as to how they'll work with it though... I have used ritek G05 for about a year now with no problems on my NEC ND3520 burner... and I also use verbatim and taiyo yudens too with no problems. And just because they're arita doesn't make them ritek G05... I've seen arita discs that have the ritek r03 code, that's not as good by all accounts and a few people ahev had problems with those.
What dvd writer have you got? My guess would be if you're having trouble with ritek G05 discs that your burner needs it's firmware updated.

using lite on shw1825 dvd burner also have pioneer 105 tried both sounds as though it may be discs what are u thinkin

Certainly sounds like the media, although I have had a few bad burns with those Arita, go for Verbatim or Tuiyo Yuden and I can guarantee you'll notice the difference in quality.
