The fact that you are actually discussing these games is pretty meaningful. The story is there, and thats that. I agree that the complex plot of FFX is an able one to be discussed. FFX-2 wasn't corny at all times, though the "girly" thing sometimes pissed me off. I liked getting all the Episode Completes though, and the mission-based action gace a non-linear feel to what used to be a linear world in FFX. You shouldn't over do it with these stories though, im sure there are going to be great ones coming along sooner than you'd expect, some more epic than others. The great thing about FFX is that, the plot pieces individually are great, but the plot comes together in a much better fashion. Thinking back on it though, between the two games, most things were said and:

The perfect ending does show Yuna and Tidus meeting (i have it downloaded on my comp somewhere too)

I seriously hope FFXII doesn't disappoint story-wise, it looks pretty good from here. Shame we have to wait for it so long...

Was'nt this the good ending for x-2? you know, for the good ending. Tidus swims out of the water, he sees yuna's airship, she jumps out and they both hug. Then all of besaid comes to the beach, and it was like such a happy ending?
That was the good ending for x-2.
But i did see what you were talking about. I just beat the game and saw that cutscene after the credits. Strange.......

How did you guys get the ending movie on FFX? I have international, and have followed the guides, talked to the fayths and wat not, and at the end when i clock it all i get is the movie of him swimming towards the surface - no whistling or anythin else. Its annoying too because ive done everything on that game, all celestial weapons all monster arena creations, all dark aeons bet, havent bet penance without zanmato yet but i just cant be bothered fighting for hours to get my luck maxed and my magic up to max + heaps of HP. Anyway, hope i can get Grandia III soon, ill have to get a NTSC backup from somewhere. Who was that dg0896 dude? Maybe dg means dumb german or something, cuz he posted in the Rebuilding of PS2 games thread and said the best way is to use DVD Shrink, which is for movies. What a lamer lol. Anyone know where i can d/l the FFX secret ending movie?

there is only 1 ending on ffx there 4 on ffx-2

bad ending (to get just die when fighting vendagun)
normal ending(fly thought game as quick as you can)
good ending(talk to whats is name in chaper 3 and whistle in ch3 when you fall in big hole and whisle staright after you beat last boss if i remember right you need to do it 3 time by pressing x)
perfect ending(get 100%)

Holy Hell, I missed a lot of posts while I was gone!
Reading some of the posts about FFX, kind've makes me feel like I should beat it one day...but it'll probably be a day very far into the future. There was something about it that just put me off, besides Tidus and Yuna. Also, I had worked out large chunks of the story before the events actually happened as well, and I hate when I'm able to do that, it kinda lessens the point to play the game. But, like I said before I loved the fact that you could switch out characters on the fly.
After reading all the posts about Xenogears made by Tokijin I kinda want to play it all over again. But hell, I'm not sure if I'm ready to do another 80+ Hours game for a second time. It's probably my favorite story found in a game, it's so good that it actually makes me want to replay it despite it's lack of replayability as was stated. And on Xenosaga, maybe I'll beat that one day too.
Tales of Legendia, I'm a tiny bit worried about, but it might just be nerves, I'm on edge with most franchise RPG continuations thsese days. ToL really doesn't look like it can stand up to ToS, but hell I hope I'm wrong.
Grandia III, now that's a game I'm not worried about. It looks friggin' awesome. I can't wait to get that.
How does everyone like the Shadow Hearts series? I've always wanted to try them, but they're hard to find both in stores and on the net.
DQVIII, I actually like how they revamped the series a bit. It's enough to keep me interested, while holding onto it's old school roots. I must admit, even though I'm not for flash over substance, I have been affected by it. I can't even imagine how I beat DWI when I was a kid. So I find the changes welcome for once. (Taloon is the man!)
Hurray for RPGs! And shame on you World of Warcrack for pulling me back in after being clean for a year! >:|

There are 2 good games for RPG fans coming up on March. They are Suikoden V and Shadow Hearts 3: From the New World. I look at the shootscreens which are great. I cant wait until March.

When does grandia 3 come out in america? caus i cant find a UK release date, so i wanna make a guess from the US date..

I need to get off my but and paly more RPGs *L*
more than half way done with FFX checked out how FFX2 runs,then I got Legiga 2 not checked it out yet,played WA 3 alot didnt care for it much,my PSone games are I got WIld arms 1 I have palyed soem of it,my wild arms 2=fin,FF7=Fin,FF8=fin,FF9fin,DW7=more than halfway thru,Vagrant Story=fin,FF tactis=not fin >>,Grandia 1=not fin,arc the lan 1,2,3 not finbeyond the beyond=not fin,(Crono trigger,FF6,FF2/4 PSX verions not finished them but have beaten the snes ones *L*) Both lunars even tho I hate the remakes loved the sega cds one,Crono cross=pain....=fin,Parasite eve 1 I love it I hate PE2...I got star oacen 2 but I laoth the CPU handleing all your party members but the main one.....I perfered oh what was it with the talking swords on the PSX it had side scrolling action as the rpg fight sceens that oen you could always chose the main one and the rest were auto,I ahve Xeno gears and I need to finish it LOL,have front mission 3=not fin,Breasth of fire 3 and 4 fin loved 4 to short tho,never understood ledgen of mana....have hoshigami (star god? 0_o deity? I watch way to much anime >>) not played,Ledgen of Legia1 not fin never could beat the last boss,Ledgen of dragoon =finGaardians crusade not fin

ive never play any Shadow Hearts games. are thay any good? asfore suikoden v i hope its better then iv.
we have only ever had suikoden II and IV here in the u.k i bought III on import and i loved it.

ZippyDSM thats quite a number of games there. I have to admit, that even though ive had the oppurtunity to play dome of those games, i didn't really take it. RPG games arent something you can finish in a couple of hours, they take ages, and i had other things to do. I'm not really gonna play ANY PS1 games anymore, im a graphics freak nowadays, i need that there, or i'll get bored! lol
Legend of Legaia i had, couldnt be arsed finishing it off. Finished FF4, FF6, FF7, FF8, FF9. FF10 and FFX-2. Finished both Grandias, and Chronotrigger. Thats it i think, though im only 15, and havnt been playing long lol so a pretty good record if i may say so.
Ive posted a list of must get RPG's a few pages back. I might just re-post it later on for you to have a look at. oh and its Shadow Hearts 2, from the new world lol. Suikoden 5 looks OK, not to my taste though, doesnt deserve any awards, too dull. Ah, Legendia tomorrow, i'll add it to my download list, if i can EVER get any of my torrent clients working! I'm not really worried, it hasnt had much hype, but it'll probly go Gold pretty soon. Always wanted to play Xenosaga, its on my to-do list, i'll get round to it soon enough.

360dude i recall seeing Suikoden III in stores a few years back, but i never bothered buying it. That was supposed the best game in the series, so i regret it now obviously. To my knowledge we've had EVERY Suikoden game in the U.K, and we're on Schedule to got Suikoden V too. Don't worry bout it lol

shadow hearts r pretty gd.. i enjoyed them but they bored me after a while.. and breath of fire 4 i loved, but yeh too short..

Yeah I had a hard time acquiring the first game in the Shadow Hearts series. I ended up renting it from Gamefly. The SH2 was easy to find since it was newer. i am having a shitty time with ffx2. in macalania woods, the set of butterflies on the long winding wooden trail wont activate so i cant make it spawn the musician. no matter where i walk in and around the butterflies they never change? anyone else have this problem?
But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

Hey Anubis are those the ones that are kinda in the air a bit? If so, you go up onto the winding track above the bottom one and press circle beside the butterflies and yuna will jump through the circle of them.

I'm finally downloading FF Advent Children. I'm getting quite good speeds, consistently over 100kB's/sec, should be done within the hour. I'm gonna take it up a notch and convert it to DVD format with Nero Vision 4. I hope it's as good as everyone said. I think I'll download Full Metal Alchemist next. I hate the Adult Swim version, but I think it'd be quite good in Japanese, uncut. Tales of Legendia comes out today. I'm going to be searching torrent sites like a crack fiend looking for an active torrent. I will also be journeying to the local video stores tomorrow. Btw Boobooman I used the Gimp tutorial to create my own sig. That shite ain't easy. Mine looks like a special ed version compared to yours. Cheers!

thanks to who helped me in ffx2. i got the band set up and i went to the chateau leblanc now. im convinced this game is made by perverts, you can see rikku's thong, leblanc shows off her boobs, and you give a girl on girl massage with very arrousing replies if you do it well.
