Okay heres the story. I have a Powerbook G4. We have DSL at home, the main router is a Actiontec 1524. My roomate connects directly to this using the ethernet. I use the internet by connecting my Airport Express via a ethernet cable to the main router. Then I set my computer to pick up the signal from the Airport Express- both the airport express and my computer's IP addresses are set by the main router.

Now I've been trying to configure everything (the main router, the Airport Express, and my computer) so I can use a static IP address for my computer and set up port forwarding for this IP address. Now I'm confused as to how I set up the connections between the main router, the airport express, and my computer so that its all satic IPs and everything oes through the airport to me through a forwarded port. For example, if I set up the main router so it has port forwarding for a specific IP address- should that be the IP address from the airport or my computer? Do I set up the Airport Express to distribute IP addresses then and port forward to me. Also, do I have to set up the main router to distribute Static IP addresses or can I leave it dynamic and just set a static on my computer (and airport). See I'm very confused and I need a step step set up of all three things- the main router, the Airport Express, and my computer so they can correctly talk to each other and do the port forwarding. I've looked online but I can't seem to find a source that ties this all together- any thoughts? Thanks.
