So far I've managed to back up single disc games, but what about games that are on multiple discs? I read somewhere (can't remember where) that you can only back up a multiple disc game if there is a save point at the end of disc 1. Is this the case?

yeah, thats the case if you use swap magic. You might be able to do it with a modchip if there is no save.

No you can't just back up the two disks, the first disk MUST end on a save point and not a mid game swap... swap magic 3.6 will not boot correctly, i am unaware if a mod chip has this capability or not?

I know there aren't that many multi-disk games but is there a list of games that can be copied and work with swap-magic disks?
I mainly interested in Star Ocean and Shadow Hearts 2.

all multi disk games normally have a big ending on the disk change (eg big boss/cut scence)

and all have a save feature just in case sometihng goes wrong
but unless somebody knows the games you are no about you will never know but god i dont think i would fancy playing though halfway not to be able to play the other half

good luck booboo

i bet all multiple disc games have you save before asking for another disc. I can confirm that star ocean does.

@booboo - Hells yeah that would be a nightmare. I would be super-pissed to have wasted so much time for nothing.

@sly_61019 - Thanks, I'm going to rent star Ocean so I just wanted to make sure.

If anybody knows about Shadow Hearts 2 any info would be much appreciated.
