I feel really stupid about all of this and it's taking me forever to figure it out. I was finally able to rip the VOB files out of the movie that I wanted. Now all I want to do is take the 5 VOB files I have and put them on a DVD-RW and use them on my DVD player. I NEED HELP!!!!!!!! PLEASE! I'm tired of downloading software that isn't helping me.

Doesn't work like that, sorry. You need to backup _everything_ on the original DVD, including _all_ the folders, small files, etc to DVD-R in order it to work. Just VOBs don't play on stand-alone DVD player.
And when doing that you've probably already found out that commercial DVDs can hold upto 9GB of data and your DVD-Rs only 4.36GB (dual layer vs single layer) which poses the problem that only few DVDs that actually are smaller than 4.36GB can be copied easily.

Isn't there a way to recreate all of the other little files to be able to use this on a regular DVD player?

I suggest strongly that you read through various threads in this forum -- those threads describe the three different methods how to rip DVD movies and burn them to single DVD-R.

I have read things here and all over the internet. I've downloaded software that's gotten me no where. I'm so frustrated at this point that I would just like simple instructions on how to take the 2 VOB files I have, put them on a DVD-RW and be able to play them on my regular DVD player. I've spent countless days and hours searching and I have no idea what I'm looking for anymore.

Ok, to put this simply. If you have DVD disc that has less than 4.36GB of data and you own a DVD-R or DVD+RW writer, do this:
Use DVD Decrypter, go to Mode, select ISO and select Read. Rip the whole thing as an ISO file to your HDD. Then select Mode, ISO, Write and select the ISO file you just created and burn it to your DVD-R.

Will this copy the entire DVD to the DVDRW? If so, this isn't what I'm trying to do. I am trying to copy only the black and white portion of the Wizard of Oz to a disc so I can play it back on my regular DVD player. I want no other portion of the movie. Is there any way of doing this? I've already decoded the exact files I need and can play the VOB files on my computer using WinDVD. I just don't know how to put them on a DVDRW and play them on my DVD hooked up to my TV. The reason for all of this is because I wish to connect the DVD to an LCD Projector and play only this portion of the movie for part of a presentation.

Sure. You just need to author the disc using some DVD authoring software, in order to create IFOs and other stuff you need. SpruceUp is a free, but lousy method to do this, more sophisticated tools exist, but if you don't have any authoring software, grab the Spruce demo from our site and use it.

What process do you following using VOB files? I called them and they said their products don't support this type of file. What is it that you do?
Thanks!

You need a product like USB Instant DVD
http://www.adstech.com
to take it in to PC for writing. Sorry, that
is the only way I know of to do what you want to do.

What you can do, is to extract the required chapters using SmartRipper or vStrip (or you might need VOBRator as well) and to create new structure for the DVD using authoring tools like SpruceUp that accept VOB imports and to create some basic menus for the DVD. After that, the authoring software creates you a ready VIDEO_TS directory. Just drag&drop that to Nero using DVD UDF/ISO and burn the damn thing.
