What are the signs of a rebuilt game gone wrong?

The reason i am asking is that i have just rebuilt my first game and would like to compare it with any signs of it being rebuilt incorrectly.

Yep, as Mik3h said, the only way of knowing really is to play it in your ps2... the same is also true for knowing if a non-rebuilt disc works or not.
What game is it you rebuilt.. what method did you use to rebuild it? and what media did you use?

I rebuilt Fight Night 2004 using alkahols guide and on TY 8x DVD-R's burned at 4x speed. (Yes, i know the game doesnt need rebuilding)

I have the original and i find that the backup loads one particular scene a fraction slower than the original. Maybe im just paraniod...ill try playing the backup again and see if it loads the same scene at the same pace.

So the ONLY sign of an incorrectly rebuilt game is that it doesnt even start??

Well, it's the only surefire way of knowing if the disc doesn't work.. could be several reasons WHY it doesn't work though.
What did you use to rebuild the game?
