Hi there,

I have a PAL PSTwo SCPH-70004, the Swap Magic 3.6 Plus kit with the Magic Keys 2. I can boot on backup PAL CDs and DVDs with this w/out any problem.

But when I try to boot my backup of Final Fantasy XII demo (NTSC), if I choose the NTSC or Normal video mode, the game is working but in black and white, and if I choose the PAL video mode, the "SQUARE ENIX" logo is displaying (in color!), the first second of the cinematic is playing, then my PS2 freeze.

Is this a known problem? Maybe my Swap Magic DVD isn't burned correctly?

Any help would be appreciated.

If the game won't work properly when you select the NTSC video mode, then try patching the video, look in Tokijin's FAQ's thread here http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/252193

The video patching doesn't work with all games though.. can't confirm any of this as I only backup originals from my own area (PAL)
