Can someone explain to me in detail how to hook up my laptop to my TV???

assuming the tv out is an svideo connection you just put an svideo lead between the output on the laptop and the svideo input on the tv and it should work.

if it doesnt work straight away there should be a button somewhere on the laptop (usually on the f1-f12 keys) that has a picture looking like 2 monitors on it. you press down the function button (the should be a key that says FN or function somewhere) and simultaniously press the key with the monitors on it. this should switch between the outputs. pressing once switches to the output (but turns off your laptop monitor) pressing it twice should make the display appear on both the laptop and the output and pressing three times will switch back to just the laptop

(this is based on all laptops ive dealt with... it may be slightly different for you but its usually the same)

I can switch to my monitor to tv but it displays Black and White stactic... further help pls?
